      ·        To recognize a person who has shown exemplary leadership and contributions in the Local,
          National and International Astronomy Community.
      ·        Person to be nominated for award: is a C. A. S. member in good standing for at least 10
          consecutive years and has done exemplary work within the membership.
      ·        Three letters of recommendation must be submitted to the current president explaining reasons
          for nomination.
