Mr. Foreman is assigned, from Houston, for one year to the NASA Glenn Research Center to head a program of public relations and education. He was born in Columbus, Ohio (1957) and graduated from Wadsworth High School (1975). He received both his BS and MS in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and served in the Navy until his selection as an astronaut candidate in 1998.

Over Thanksgiving in 2009 (November 16-29), Mr. Foreman took part in the second of his two space flights. In this flight, STS 129, he participated in two EVA’s (spacewalks), just part of his total 637 hours in space. This was one of the few last voyages of the Space shuttle—two more and possibly a third are planned.

In this presentation, Mr. Foreman will narrate a film showing details of the STS-129 mission and discuss the future of human visitation into space.
